The IVS-947 offers precise motion detection for traffic applications. It is a VCO transceiver that allows the user to switch between CW (Continuous Wave), FSK (Frequency Shift Keying), and FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) modulation. Depending on the selected modulation, the radar provides information about the presence, speed, direction, and distance of moving or stationary objects. The K-band sensor typically detects vehicles at a maximum range of up to 80 meters (depending on the object’s radar cross-section).
