The IVS-282 K-band radar sensor enables target detection at a distance of up to 400 m (depending on the RCS). As a long-range radar, the sensor is ideally suited for traffic monitoring, section control, or speed enforcement.
This highly sensitive radar system offers precise measurements. Using FMCW radar modulation, the sensor detects the presence of moving objects and provides additional information such as speed, distance, and direction of movement. Detection of stationary objects is also possible. Based on the latest MMIC technology, the IVS-282 achieves a very good signal-to-noise ratio and high frequency stability. Users can adjust the radar frequency as needed. The dual receiver channel (I/Q channel) allows for the differentiation of the direction of movement. The integrated pre-scaler enables the current transmit frequency to be read back for frequency ramp linearization.
The sensor can also be operated cyclically to meet the requirement for low power consumption (battery) operation.
